HIC'08 Aged Care Workshop

Aged Care Worshop Registration Now Open

People-centred technologies for empowered ageing and aged-care

Aged Care Informatics Australia has held annual conferences since 2004. This year the event will be held as a symposium and participatory workshop as part of HIC'08.

There is great potential for technology to enhance the quality of life of older adults; such as enabling access to quality care services, extending the ability for independent living to remain in their own homes, and providing personalised, quality care to residents in aged care facilities.

The HISA Aged Care Informatics SIG Annual Symposium and Workshop will present the latest research initiatives in people-centred technologies for empowered ageing and aged-care in Australia and New Zealand. These include reports on leading-edge projects in smart homes; technologies to benefit the frail aged, those with chronic illness and people with disabilities; and the progress of nursing information systems for better serving residents in aged care facilities.

The registration fee for delegates not attending HIC 08 is $200, for HIC'08 delegates the workshop is included as part of your conference registration fee. Click on the button below to go straight the to the Aged Care workshop registration page
