Invitation to Delegates

I have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the 2008 HIMAA Symposium to be held in Canberra from the 25-26th September 2008.

The symposium will be held at the newly opened Realm Hotel, Barton and the symposium dinner will be held across Lake Burley Griffin at the Australian War Memorial's Anzac Hall, among some of the Memorial's largest displays, including G for George, the famous World War II Lancaster bomber.

Whilst focusing on the health information management profession, the topics to be presented will also be of interest to all health professionals.

The program will include plenary presentations, workshop sessions, vendor presentations, and trade exhibitions as well as stimulating social and networking activities. Plan now to join delegates from around Australia and New Zealand at this important HIMAA event.

During the period from 13th September to 12th October, Floriade will be running in Canberra. Floriade is Australia's premier spring festival and a world-class floral spectacular! Over one million blooms create a stunning backdrop to a month long festival filled with music, cultural celebrations, artistic displays, entertainment and recreational activities.

As this is a busy time in Canberra it is recommended that you book your accommodation for the symposium as soon as possible.

Canberra is one of the most convenient locations on the eastern seaboard, offering flights to all capital cities. Canberra is home to some of Australia's most prestigious academic, scientific and cultural institution; such as the Australian National University, Australian War Memorial, National Museum of Australia and the Australian Institute of Sport. Don't miss this exciting event. I look forward to welcoming you to Canberra.

Yours sincerely,

Trish Ryan

President HIMAA
