Invitation to Delegates I have the pleasure of inviting you to attend the 2008 HIMAA Symposium to be held in Canberra from the 25-26th September 2008. The symposium will be held at the newly opened Realm Hotel, Barton and the symposium dinner will be held across Lake Burley Griffin at the Australian War Memorial's Anzac Hall, among some of the Memorial's largest displays, including G for George, the famous World War II Lancaster bomber. Whilst focusing on the health information management profession, the topics to be presented will also be of interest to all health professionals. The program will include plenary presentations, workshop sessions, vendor presentations, and trade exhibitions as well as stimulating social and networking activities. HISA Vic branch will be holding a joint meeting with the Austin Centre for Applied Clinical Informatics (ACACI). The meeting theme is "The Health CIO in 2015" and the seminar will have Hospital CIO's sharing their visions for health over the next 7 years. After the HISA Vic/ACACI meeting HISA Vic will be holding their Annual General Meeting. If you are interested in finding out more about HISA Vic or you are interested in getting involved with supporting health Informatics in Victoria then you stay for the AGM.
