The future of data: Bringing together the people on the frontline of collecting and using health data

BRISBANE   11 – 12 OCTOBER 2016          #HDA16  @HISA_healthdata

REGISTER    PROGRAM     STAY UP TO DATE

The 2016 Health Data Analytics conference will bring together leaders in healthcare who are using data to improve the safety, quality and efficiency of their health services.

The informative two-day program will focus on the use of analytics to gain insight from the increasing amount of data being collected by health services, clinicians and consumers.

The theme of this years’ conference is Health data analytics – data informing health. The conference will be about getting valuable information into the hands of clinicians and health service managers, where it can be used for decision-making and improving health outcomes for patients.

Co-chaired by Michael Draheim, CIO at Metro South Brisbane HHS, and Dr David Hansen, CEO of the Australian e-Health Research Centre, the conference brings together the people on the frontline of collecting and using data with data scientists from industry and research to share knowledge and experience.

A particular focus will be the increasing role of the CIO and CMIO in hospitals and health systems and the clinicians, health informatics and health IT staff that are being tasked with delivering the change to a data driven health service.

“Curing both rare diseases and common cancers doesn’t just require new research, but also linking all the data that researchers already have.”

The conference will also have a focus on the emerging trend for personalised healthcare and the groundswell of consumer-collected health data flowing in to the health system, offering both challenges and opportunities for improved – evidence based – patient care.

Health Data Analytics is the 6th data in healthcare conference run by HISA – Australia’s Digital Health Community. In 2016 we will continue to have session-based themes with a mix of scientific, industry and clinical presentations – enabling learning across the continuum of research, clinical practice and health service delivery. As always, the social, collaborative environment which this conference is well known for will continue to make this the health data event to be at in 2016.
