HIC'09, Australia's Health Informatics Conference will be held in Canberra at the National Convention Centre from 19 - 21 August 2009. Presented by the Health Informatics Society of Australia, HIC'09 brings together a broad community of those involved in healthcare, the information sciences and industry. The theme of the conference is "Frontiers of Health Informatics - Redefining Healthcare"
HIC'09 will hold multiple workshops on 19 August 2009 in Canberra, Australia, co-located with the main conference (http://www.hisa.org.au/hic09). Workshops offer participants with a common interest the opportunity to gather for discussions and presentations prior to the opening of the conference. Available workshops now include:

Submissions of proposals for workshops and tutorials were invited before 16 March 2009. The organisers particularly encouraged proposals related to the following topics of interest:

v Decision support systems
v Home based eHealth
v Modelling and simulation for health policy development
v Knowledge management of genome-disease correlations
v Public health and consumer informatics
v Biosignal processing
v Guidelines and protocols for evidence-based practice
v Pervasive healthcare
Workshop Submission Guidelines
- Workshop proposals will be submitted on-line HERE or by clicking on the submission button below
- Submission should not exceed 1500 words
- Submission to include the following sections:
- Workshop title
- Authors and affiliations
- Learning objectives
- Abstract
- Planned duration (90 min or 3 hour duration)
- Intended audience and content level
- Affiliations and short biographies of presenters
- Successful presenters will be allocated 90 minutes or 3 hours for their presentation
- The successful presenter will be required to register for HIC'09 at specially discounted presenters rate
- The closing date for workshop submission is 16 March 2009
