HISA is proud to be supporting fellow not for profit group Dragon Claw – an online community supporting sufferers of rheumatoid arthritis, lupus and juvenile arthritis.

Currently Dragon Claw supports over 450,000 people in Australia with the disease, but there are tens of millions across the globe.

These people are in constant pain, often can’t work, put enormous strains on their family and carers, and suffer from isolation and psychological distress. They need coordinated care plans including medications, pain management, physiotherapy and psychological support. Such care is not easy to find, and that’s where Dragon Claw comes in.

The website provides sufferers and carers with a much needed place to go. Dragon Claw will also provide opportunities to interact with other sufferers and carers, to find knowledgeable clinicians and physiotherapists, and to keep abreast of the latest developments in treatment of these conditions.

The organisation has gone as far as they can using their own funds and now they need OUR HELP to build the next version of Dragon Claw, which will add more capability to the interactive tools they provide to enable sufferers to ‘self-care’ in their home. It will connect sufferers with one another, with medical practitioners, and bring the latest information to those newly diagnosed and in various stages of their pain-related illness. It’s a big agenda, because it’s a big problem.

They need $60,000 to build the next evolution and your donation will help!

Go to https://chuffed.org/project/dragon-claw . You can donate any amount. Ideally they need about 6,000 people to donate so please spread the word among your friends and colleagues.
