Vice Chair – Dr Elizabeth Cummings
Secretary – Dr Kerryn Butler-Henderson
Treasurer – Dr Kenneth Lee
Jeni Dick
Dr Andreas Duenser
Dr Sue Whetton

The newly elected Secretary Dr Kerryn Butler-Henderson is one of the pioneers of the HISA Tasmania branch and believes a local health informatics voice was long overdue.

“The initiatives here in Tasmania are innovative and in some areas, ground breaking,” Kerryn said.

“Health informatics has an important role to play in Tasmanian health, evident through the investment of e-health divisions throughout the three regions. The University of Tasmania also has a number of international leaders in health informatics.

“Through my role as an academic I believe in setting an example for the future health information professionals, which includes being a member of this important society. Being a member also allows me to keep in touch with what is happening in this area across Australia.”
