Supporting and growing the health informatics workforce is key to HISA and the digital health community. As part of our work in this area, HISA is supporting a research project led by the University of Tasmania and the University of Melbourne on developing a minimum dataset to be used for an Australian health information workforce census.
This project is a world’s first to develop a research methodology for a national workforce census across the spectrum of the health information workforce. The scope for the census is to quantify and qualify the workforce in order to build a capabilities-driven development framework.
HISA is assembling a group of 10-15 people to be part of the Consultation Group for this work. You will need to have extensive (10+ years) in the health information workforce and be willing to provide expert advice about the data items required for a national workforce census. If you are interested, please email Louise before Friday 21 April.
