The National Clinical Terminology Service (NCTS) of the Australian Digital Health Agency is presenting four introductory webinars during February 2019. These webinars are suitable for anyone interested in learning about SNOMED CT-AU and the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT).

1. Introduction to SNOMED CT-AU terminology

This is a one-hour webinar held on Tuesday 12 February 2019, from 10am to 11am AEDT.
Topics will include:

  • An introduction to clinical terminologies; and
  • An overview of SNOMED CT-AU including content, scope, use cases, how it can be used, reference sets and the NCTS website.

This is a one-hour webinar held on Thursday 14 February 2019, from 10am to 11am AEDT.
Topics will include:

  • An overview of SNOMED CT-AU hierarchies, including the Australian Medicines Terminology (AMT) content

This is a one-hour webinar held on Thursday 21 February 2019, from 11am to 12pm AEDT.
Topics will include:

  • An introduction to clinical terminologies; and
  • An overview of the AMT including content, scope, model, use cases, how it can be used, reference sets and the NCTS website.

4. Searching SNOMED CT-AU using the Shrimp browser

This is a one-hour webinar held on Tuesday 26 February 2019, from 2pm to 3pm AEDT.
Topics will include:

  • An overview of features of the Shrimp browser including terminology browser, Refset Viewer, ValueSet Viewer and SNOMED ECL Builder; and
  • Tips on how to search for SNOMED CT-AU and AMT content.
