Nick-Buckmaster-SmallHISA has a casual Board vacancy following the resignation of Nick Buckmaster.

Dr Buckmaster has been part of the HISA Board for the past three years having been appointed in 2012 and then elected at the 2013 AGM.

HISA Chair Dr David Hansen said: “It’s been particularly good to have an active clinician on the HISA board and we wish Nick all the best in the future and look forward to him continuing to contribute to HISA in other ways.”

Dr Buckmaster’s departure from the Board creates a casual vacancy. In accordance with the HISA Constitution the Board is calling for nominations to fill the vacancy.

Dr Hansen said he encouraged members to consider nominating themselves or a colleague to the Board.

“Board members are able to shape the future of HISA and play a significant role in shaping the direction of health informatics and e-health in Australia.”

Please download and read the Call for Nominations and complete and return the Nomination Form to the Returning Office by Monday 30 March, 5pm AWST

As per the HISA Constitution, casual vacancy positions are chosen by a vote of the HISA Board, which will occur subsequent to the close of the nomination period and will be announced in the next HISA News.

The term of office ceases at the HISA AGM which will be held at HIC on 4th August 2015. This process follows the guidelines set forth in the Constitution.
