HISA thanks everyone who made the Australian Telehealth Conference 2017 a huge success

More than 40 world class speakers took part in our two-day event, attended by more than 200 delegates, making this one of our most successful telehealth conferences. Virtual care and connected care showed the future of telehealth beyond the traditional realm of video-conferencing.

Many of the conference delegates were engaging with social media, generating more than 1.6 million Twitter impressions over two days.  You can read more about the analytics with Symplur healthcare conference hashtags.

During ATC 2017, HISA CEO Dr Louise Schaper was keen to test the Tytocare ear exam which takes high resolution images of the ear canal – “I’m sure there’s a bug in my ear” -she insisted. (None found).

Jason Trethowan from headspace on mental health for youth: “It’s not about getting telehealth at home it’s about getting access to help wherever you are.”

For the first time HISA streamed presentations online to invited media. This service was provided by Armchair Medical TV – read more and subscribe at http://www.armchairmedical.com/

A great end of day group discussion on policy, people and practices: – thank you to panel members Wendy Carroll, A/Prof Alexandra Martiniuk and Andrew Slater and Dr Mohan Karunanithi- chaired by HISA CEO Dr Louise Schaper.
