Associate Professor Jared Dart BSc BA (Econ, Govt) M.B.B.S. PhD (eHealth, Medicine) FRACGP interests lie in solving complex problems for the benefit of society and individuals. To do this requires systems, which facilitate necessary processes and incentivise parties and individuals to act. Achieving this in healthcare is one of the world’s greatest challenges. “My strengths lie in my cross-sectoral experience that enables me to understand the choices of patients, providers and payors. I am GP, practice owner, researcher and previously worked as a management consultant.”

It’s a great year to get involved for the first time – enrol a company team!

Hacking Health is held during HIC 2017, the premier digital health, ehealth and health informatics Conference in Australia.

  • Facilitated by the International Hacking Health group
  • Endorsed and supported by Queensland Health and the Australian Digital Health Agency

This year’s focusing is on digital connectivity in healthcare – connected care, efficient transactions, improved experience, quality of care.

As a Hack Health participant, you will receive:

  • Supported access to national digital health infrastructure including MyHR simulators, clinical terminology service, developer code-sets and data sets;
  • Access to networks, international chapters and innovative projects being worked on elsewhere;
  • Support from mentors who assist with both business expertise as well as healthcare system understanding and the way the health system describes value.

You will be judged on presenting and describing the value that your project delivers and to whom.

We will assist with you answering:
“How are you demonstrating Value with your proposition or project?”
“How do you sell your innovative idea and benefits in your hospital or healthcare organisation?”

The uniqueness of Hacking Health is that it’s all about connecting innovators, entrepreneurs and hackers, with health industry experts and clinicians – the people who have been doing health for decades. It’s high energy. It’s messy. But remarkable

Hacking Health @ HIC is run in partnership with the global Hacking Health team based in Canada – who bring energy and experience in successfully delivering these events across the world!
