We continue the discussion with leaders and experts providing insights into using real world data\, informatics and analytics to drive research and automating clinical trials\, as well as providing updates on the latest international data linkage and connecting like-minded organisations and clinical researchers. \nOur speaker is Dr. Manfred Stapff\, the Chief Medical Officer for the Health Data Network TriNetX and is a physician and clinical pharmacologist with over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. After his training in internal medicine\, he worked in various positions in clinical research\, medical and regulatory affairs in research-oriented pharmaceutical companies. Dr Stapff lives and works in Cambridge\, MA\, USA. \nThe presentation will focus on the practicalities on automating clinical trials\, getting the best out of your data to support research\, and bringing together collaborations with hospitals\, research organisations and industry. In this function\, he oversees all medical and scientific aspects of the TriNetX Global Health Research Network\, such as epidemiologic analytics\, protocol review and feasibility\, query design\, site identification/evaluation\, and other aspects of Clinical Operations. \nManfred started his medical career as a physician in the Institute of Air and Space Medicine of the German Airforce and in the University of Munich\, Policlinic for Internal Medicine. He then spent almost 20 years in various medical functions at Merck & Co\, Inc. in positions with increasing responsibility in Monitoring\, Data Management\, Medical Services\, and Global Clinical Research Operations. \nBefore joining TriNetX\, Manfred worked at Forest Laboratories\, Inc. (now Allergan plc) as Senior Director Cardiovascular Clinical Development\, Executive Director Global Clinical Operations and was also overseeing Quality Management and Training. \nManfred received his MD and PhD from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich\, Germany\, and a Clinical Pharmacology license from the Bavarian Physicians Chamber.
