Chief Medical Informatics Officer
Bendigo Health is a leader in regional health care, combining outstanding services with a strong education, training and personal development culture. Our organisation vision is “Healthy communities and world class healthcare”.
The organisation services the Loddon Mallee region, which covers about 26 per cent of Victoria and a population around 307,000. We provide health care across the entire lifespan from pre-natal and newborn babies to the aged, their families and carers.
The Information Services Division provides Bendigo Health’s internal and external telecommunications network and supports the use and development of information and communications technology (ICT) across the organisation. This is achieved through the implementation of the ICT strategic plan and the support of a number of enterprise applications, used in both clinical and non-clinical aspects of service delivery across the organisation. The division provides guidance on the on-going development of a complex information and communications technology infrastructure.
The significance of the ePR Project and its impact on how Bendigo Health delivers patient care across the Loddon Mallee region in the future cannot be underestimated. It will see Bendigo Health on par with other internationally leading healthcare providers, and is one elements of the Bendigo Hospital Project that sets it apart from all other recent Victorian hospital developments.
When delivered, the ePR System will interface with other related technologies in the new Bendigo Hospital and make a substantial contribution toward enabling Bendigo Health to deliver a world-class healthcare experience.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a suitable qualified Medical Practitioner to either work part time on this project or to supplement their hours in their area of medical specialty.
